Made of Belfast (Titanic Sinks Tonight)
114 YEARS ON, RMS TITANIC SETS SAIL INTO THE NIGHT ONCE MORE
In the latest 'moment' in our MADE OF HERE brand platform, we turned our focus on Northern Ireland and a BBC show close to many hearts in Belfast — TITANIC SINKS TONIGHT.
Inspired by the show and in a tribute to the fateful voyage, Belfast got to witness a full 1:1 scale RMS Titanic appear in the very spot in Belfast Harbour she was made and departed from exactly 114 years ago. On the anniversary, she set sail and disappeared into the night once more.
The ship was made accurately using near 1000 drones formed from the original 1912 blueprint designs, because until now, anyone alive today has never seen the true scale and majesty of this legendary ship. The song is a remake of the final hymn the band was playing on the deck as she went down.
We turned around a 45 Second social edit in 12 hours to release on the anniversary with a simple hook that she “departs into the night once more” — a full PR outreach was planned, quickly going viral…. it hit millions of views across mainstream and social media with major news outlets across the world covering it.
